LSB 16 Revival Effort - July 4th

On the 4th, approximately 12:25pm Eastern Time for about 5 or 10 seconds I distinctively heard someone calling CQ DX, but skip only lasted a few seconds at a time with only about an S unit or less above my very low noise floor, but it didn't hold long enough to make out any call sign. I kept calling back hoping to be heard on an upswing, but no response. A few minutes later I briefly heard someone say 41? in GA. This rapidly fading in an out signal sounded like he was trying to reach someone in MA. That’s all, but I’ll keep monitoring more often in the future.

well we actually had some skip here in NV all day yesterday, but it was plagued with a constant noise level in my area so it was hard to pick up anything that was below an S-7 at my station.

I did hear someone on 16LSB right at the noise floor during the afternoon but couldn't make out what they were saying.

and of course this morning we had beautiful conditions with no noise and stations coming in from all over, and not a soul on 16LSB. 38LSB was booming with stations, but not a one on 16.

I've been checking 16LSB out. I have tried a few times but I get nothing except some bleed over from channel 15 am. I will keep trying as well.

Today is another quiet day for DX on CB. But like others have said, I'll keep pushing LSB 16. I'm checking the "solar weather" forecasts" and listening to activity on LSB 38. If either looks positive, I'll try to get something going on LSB 16.

The effort continues.
