magnetic cable cover?

Anyone know if there is any sort of magnetic channel or wiremold type of thing that I could stick on the roof of my car over the coax cable from a mag mount antenna to protect it some and keep it from vibrating around up there?

I apparently haven't stumbled on the magic google keywords for this item.

Thanks

Huh, never heard of such a thing. What would prevent that cable cover from moving around too?

I attached a sketch of what I had in mind. It would look sort of like those wiremold things you might see covering the wiring on track lighting except made of rubber or vinyl instead of metal. Or also maybe like those things you can run computer cables in on the floor. There would be a strip of preferably magnets but maybe a double stick tape on each side of the channel that the coax goes in.

Does this mean that most people just leave the coax that goes to a mag mount antenna just lying exposed and loose on the roof?

Yup, thats what I do, and have been doing it for 10 years, never run into any problems yet....

however, I do pull the coax tight and close the door on it, which stops it from moving around

I've seen something very close to what you are describing sold at the local radio/tv/microwave store that no longer exists. I thought it was a great idea at the time but they were so poorly built that I never made the purchase. Haven't seen anything like it since.
