Magnum S-980

Has anyone bought one of these radios? What do you think of it so far?
Are there any reviews anywhere on the net?
Curious to know what they're like........... :?:

well my bud talks on one every night to me and is about 50 miles away..
Its kicks some arse and is a nice modulating box

Of Course this is just my opinion

Thanks for the reply lords. I haven't heard a great deal about it so far. 'Kind of surprising considering all the hype before it came out.

I enjoy my S-9.

It's the same radio with more power, not much more to say. The S9 is an exellent radio, the 80-90 watt version should sound the same with alittle more grunt. Even the standard S9 now has mosfets, after a basic tune and conversion our local shop is seeing 55 watts. Very cool.

cool good to know ...I know I love my delta force
as magnum is very under rated...
but needed a good base so i had to pick up a galaxy saturn...was a long haul kid dream

I hear at least one pre-production run of the 175 watt S9s is out for testing. 'Will be following reports on that one in the next couple weeks............

yes theres testing the s9-175
and thieres talk about a 250 watter

well your best bet for a power house out of the box for cb land would be a magnum,galaxy or connex ! 8)
