No 2 things are the same marven, just like this forum..
some do get carried away with posting "junk" to simple questions
that don't need a 50 line answer but,It is up to you to pick out the info you need and do what you want with it...

as you know like anything on the internet..Its all for information knowledge, nothing more...as for radios, well name brands are trusted more then newer ones...older ones are trusted more then newer ones...big radio,small radio,I would rather stick with 10 meter radios now days with the SSB option then and old 148gtl for options and I would thought stick with any radio that has good customer/tech support..
every radio that does come out or has been out,has some kind of recall or update.....man ain't prefect and machine can't be either because it is built by man

Magnum makes a great product and that comes from one of the pickiest and most difficult to satisfy buyers anyone would care to meet.
sure do updates are nice and free...good to know and tech support is 100% with paper work sent to you..not many places do this for you
but on the other hand galaxy tech support is Online and is free to...
I have ran both and many of them, worked on both updated both this is why i stick with these , not to say there great talkers when done up good!
