I have a Magnum Delta Force from either 2001 or early 2002, not sure. All the faceplate lights died many years ago, but I must say that the ssb performance is pretty good. Seams like anytime that I hear a really nice station on ssb, I am on the same freq as him. But overall I would say that is a really strange rig to operate, it takes some studying to learn how to access all the features. At least mine has the old school dual 1969 finals, I really like the sound they create vs the punchy mosfets.

ive owned a magnum delta and omega.. love the recieve on these .. channel bleed over seemed almost as good as my kenwood 570.. trasnsmit was equal to a 2950 my complaints were first was why only a 5 digit \display.. and 2 seem like only the stock mic would give it the greatest audio...other than that i liked them well. i still got my delta force.

I traded for my Delta Force, it was almost new when I got it. The only mic that I got in the trade was one of the old RK56 mikes. Several people have told me that the radio sounds nice, but it also needs to be just a touch louder.

Spent an hour talking with another driver as we rolled IH40 east to Little Rock on Saturday. He stayed about a mile behind me and his MAGNUM S9 has been the “best” I’ve received at that distance from that position (the Skipshooter does get above the 53’ dryvan, but not by much).

At 1.5-miles he cut in a 100w linyur and it was again good.

Audio quality was impressive. Hi-Fi

Mine is still working just fine after 3 years. Not a single issue.

I have had one for 6 mo. I get great dx reports ,sounds great,slightly better performance & less heat with palomar max mod installed,makes my dx 500v work great.for me it is not a turd,and I have been in the hobby longer than most on this site have been alive..303
