So then if your car is deemed "totaled" by an insurance company they pay you for the value and could take possession of the car.

Now they own it.

They look at the data and if there is information putting the driver in a bad light they could in theory take action in one form or another.

It sure would make accident investigations a lot easier. Besides you would be surprised to learn that most cars already have a form of it anyway. Most cars already record engine RPM, throttle position, speed, rate of acceleration/deceleration, brake application or lack thereof, airbag deployment and more. I don't subscribe to the Alex Jones way of paranoia thinking but I can see making it mandatory to record certain events but what is it all going to be recording is the question. Location? I couldn't care less about that. My phone has the GPS locator turned on all the time anyway.

Let the guilty get caught and pay up. I have had enough of the lying and BS in the event of an accident in the past in an attempt by the guilty to lie and scheme his/her way out of a bind while making it look like the innocent party was at fault.

Alex Jones has turned a friend of mine into a raging idiot, can't stand to be around the guy anymore.

I don't care to much about what the guvment does anymore. I just don't like when they know where I am, where I've been, and monitor my internet shit. Other than that, I don't care. I ain't got nothing to hide.

Well, don't like taxes or messing with my guns either.

This is true and will be coming soon but as already posted it is not new in fact as a mechanic when you tell me your trans is now slipping and you only do 55 and drive like a grandma I can read the history of your ecm/pcm installed in your vehicle and show you that your car was driven at 90+ miles an hour or floored for so many seconds. Or drag raced etc. It's not new technology it's more like the government wants you to think that it's new and they have control over it..............Don't believe me? That funny looking connector under the driver side dash in your car??? Callled an OBD2 port and that is where my computer plugs into your car to read your on board diagnostic computer. Even if you disconnect your battery it still holds a history and having a tech erase a trouble code will still show up! I do scans daily and sometimes get teens in trouble with my findings. Also OBD2 has been out since 1997....
