I have a Maxlog M8800,i have the software for it,and the lead to program it,im wondering if we have anyone else out there with one of these radio`s,if so how did you find re-programming the radio,at the moment I have it as it was set from the buyer,it seems OK,but at some point I will want to have a go at programming it,I just want to know if there are any Do`s and Dont`s,would be interested in what you think of these radios, also how far can you program them, there is not that much information about them yet,I also have a Galaxy DX959 Zombie,a good solid radio....

Hi all, just joined this forum and I am looking for help on the Maxlog M-8800 radio which i recently purchased. Could anybody out there set me on the right path on what is the correct program cable, the correct software version. The radio I was told is a version 6 and the previous owner said he couldn't program it whatsoever. So I am wandering if anybody out there could help please. It's a lovely looking radio and have had good reports on it, just want to be able to connect to my pc and set it up as i want it. I have been told it can also be programmed from the front panel, not sure if this is true, but would really like the cable/pc method to work. Info on this radio seems very thin on the ground. Best regards Alan. Apologies if I've posted in the wrong place as i am new to this.
