In what way?....Have a dosy meter does the wattage on the dosy meter have to match the meter on the radio?
its a 148 gtl i get 3 watts on the dosy so the meter on the radio should read mid scale?not sure what you mean Kaos.
are you asking about calibrating the meter in the radio?
If so, the short answer is to set the meter in your radio for an accurate reading at about mid-scale, since they probably won't be accurate across the whole range of the meter.

Yeah i have a 50 ohm dummy loadI think you are asking if the Dosy should read the same as the built-in meter in the radio when reading power output. If that is what you mean then yes of course they should. I say should because the power is the same when measuring only a foot or two from the radio. If the readings are off they you have to figure out which is wrong. Usually the meters in the radios are ball park but then again most Dosy meters are ball park as well. Definitely more accurate meters out there.

as per alignment procedure i did adjust the built in 148gtl meter between the green and red.I think you are asking if the Dosy should read the same as the built-in meter in the radio when reading power output. Kaos that was the Pandoras box post of the night. I have an MFJ 826B. I thought that would end many questions that I have about various measurements. The MFJ has the capability to"store measurements for 1,2, or 3 seconds on peak." So I also have a Dosy that has a frequency counter and 1khz tone module for SSB. This meter has no ability to store anything(love the SSB function). I have sent it back to have it recalibrated and so forth. To put it plainly they might as well Hatchets and McCoys(old tv show where they were opposed). There is no way to tell off the meter of the radio to be sure. If your are messin with us job well done.Yeah i have a 50 ohm dummy load
So between the red and green on the 148gtl built in meter is that considered 3 watts?
no im not messing with no one here,as the old alignment on the 148gtl says to adjust meter so that it agrees with the watt meter and the new alignment says adjust it between red and green lines.Kaos that was the Pandoras box post of the night. I think the Dosey meter measures "Mystical Watts". I have several and they never agree with each other. One like this you can believe.
