MetroSound CB Radio?

Never heard of Metrosound. If I interpret the date code right, looks like 1985.

Maybe.

The Korean CB radios from that era weren't all that special. Midland models from Korea in that era were famously terrible. The name "Metrosound" doesn't show up at Wikipedia. The Howard Sams index 1946-2001 doesn't show their name at all.

Looks like they were another outfit like "M.H. Scott", the importer of the infamously flaky "DAK" CB radios. Lasted long enough to import one batch of radios, or maybe two before disappearing.

These were a junk quality Korean made AM that were common here in Oz for a year or two in the mid/late 80's. Imported and sold here by a long defunct auto parts store chain that mostly sold stuff like cheap car tools, car polish, and seat covers. There were quite a few radio shops around at the time but all of them refused to sell these things. Also sold under the Lankar brand name, identical except for the brand name logo.

After a year or two they disappeared as quickly as the came. Just because its "very rare" doesn't mean its any good.
