Mic recomendation.

I would like a honest recomendation for a hand mic to go on a Magnum 257, and a Titan II Road pro. I have a RK56 on my Connex 4800DXL mobil.

I am leaning toward a 575M6.

Any response would be appreciated.

I have a 575M6 on my RCI 2995Dx, Galaxy Melaka and Galaxy DX99V. Nothing but raves on all three. I love them.

I too like yhe 575's but for my Titan in my tow truck I'm going to try a Road Devil (n/c power mic.) and see how it does. Will post results after I get it set up

I run an Astatic 636l n/c mic on my Blackhawk and get a lot of excellent reports. You will have to turn the modulation up a bit though.

Stock Microphone Rules.. mic gain wide open, full output on heated boxes and no feedback or squeels going full throttle.. just my opinion..

Of course on a Barefooted Radio is another story, Astatic Teardrops Rule..

575M6's are the way to go!!! I run one on the mobil as well as the base. I like the way you can adjust your volume and your tone right on the mic.

Can anyone tell me what the wiring is for a 575 m6 to the new president lincoln II radio? I have a 575 and I want to use it for the Lincoln. Thanks!!!

Depends . . .

If you are running a diesel tractor; then a noise-cancelling mic is best to elimiate road and diesel noise getting into the mic. I still think the original RoadKing RK56 is really hard to beat as a noise-cancelling mic. Sounds smooth and full and cancels really well. Not cheap; but worth every penny.
Astatic 636 or the Road Devil? Meh . . .

As for power mics/mobile?

A D-104M6 works great with the 270k resistor clipped, the RF Limited CR-577 is OUTSTANDING, and that is what I use still. If you can find a decent 575 w/o getting robbed buying it, that would be acceptable too.

I run a 575 on my Lincoln II.
The wiring for an Astatic 575 to the Lincoln II is the same as it would be for the Magnum 257 or Delta Force.

As it's been pointed out many times, be careful with these radios because pin 6 carries voltage and incorrect wiring can cause damage to the radio.
