pin 1= shield
pin 2= not used
pin 3= transmit
pin4=audio /modulation
pin 5=recieve
this is for the radio . you,ll have to find out which wires match the pins
trial and error. if ya remember which one allowed audio then you have
2 pins figured out as remember pin 2 isnt used . this is all i could find
hopefully others will chime in

I'm not familiar with the Realistic microphone, but the mic looks very similar to a Turner +2. The Turner +2 has a switch in the base to select either relay or electronics switching. Just guessing that if that switch exists then you may need to select one mode or the other.

Is it possible that the radio uses an electic type of microphone? It is possible the blue wire carries a voltage to power the original mic element? I don't think a dynamic mic can be used in place of an electic mic, and that may be why you are not getting any modulation.

I also looked at the Turner +2 Connection Manual, and all it shows is a 4-pin wire arrangement that Hotrod described. Any 5-pin mic connections in the manual only use 4 of the 5 pins.

If it keys up and receives, then the mike is wired right, Have you checked the battery? If it's good, and there are no broken wires, then there is something wrong with the element or the amp board,
