Mini Quad Beam

Sent a e-mail to the man that has it, this is what he said . It,s a 11 meter beam 500 watts / 1200pep...4.5dbd gain...1:1.5 SWR....12db side rejection ...25db front to back ratio that all I got from him. Hope it helps
Nothing about matching? Either gamma, 75 Ohm coax, or tuner. I know tunning a 1/4 wave 2 element quad can be done w/o the matching, but it depends on element spacing, wire diameter/length.

Just looking for that rotator and seems to have hit unobtainium status. Antennacraft is out of bidness. Ordered the RCA from Amazon. I'm sure it wont impress me.

I have 30' breakover, drillpipe Redbeard Special, reluctant to take my StarBuster off it. May try to mount the quad with the StarBuster on top. Not sure if the later would create interference having the mast higher than the quad beam.

The RCA rotor is pretty decent. I have one now and a few in the past. I've never had an issue of any kind. As long as you stay within their specs, it works great. They are just a little pricey nowadays.

In looking at the photos, it appears the feedline does not have to run horizontally away from the antenna for a few feet when it is hung vertically as is the case with a dipole. Is that right?

Apparently.

How's the MFJ 1890 working for you? I'm wanting to find a small beam setup, and have not a lot of room to work with.
Go the 1895 route and size down rather then stretch out. I like mine with room left in the tubing for strength and shape
