Thanks to SK and others I decided to hook up the wilson with 18ft of rg8x and it seems to be working great.I just wish I could ditch the spot-light that is right above my miror bracket.Maybe a 10" shaft would serve me better or is it not bothering my signal?thanks again.

This is very good to hear ! Like Doc said .....K.I.S.S. (keep it simple stupid) sometimes just works out great ! I won't go into coax
length because that's just another egg to fry. You changed things around and it's now working for you , that's AWESOME ! even with your spot light , IM sure it's all good , might just be making out as a better ground plane for you ?, but I dont' see anything wrong with the 10 inch shaft if you wanted to go that route. Congrats !! on getting things going for yourself.
