Shouldn't be long until someone comes up with something, great move on the swr meter. Keep us updated on how everthing goes. If you get a wilson 1000 and adjust your swr you should do real good. I use a 102'' whip for my mobile but people say they get a good 10 to 20 miles with their wilsons.
Wow, that'd be amazing. I was excited when I could talk to people a couple hundred feet away haha. I'd love to use a whip but I just don't think it'd look right on top of my 4dr car and for some reason that concerns me..... I am planning though, for my next vehicle, to get a truck because I'm tired of not being able to haul things haha THAT should be great with a whip
Yeah the 102" whips never look right on a car lol. If you get a truck though the whip will out perform any mobile antenna I know of.

I wouldn't buy it I would stick with a wilson 1000. A used one in good condition can be had for 30-40 dollars and it will work a lot better than that one.
My friend was making fun of me when I said I had CB in my car saying next I'll look like an escaped bumper car haha
I routinely talk 50+ miles mobile to base with my Wilson smack in the center of my quad cab.
I've got a couple Wilson whips around here, but the shipping is probably more than the whip is worth. If you can score a coil on the cheap, get the whip at a local cb shop

Well the wilson 1000 is 62 inches long but if you want performance longer is better. Just get used to it I guess.
