Hello Folks,
I have a Moonraker AV-140 (4 element)up and running and it's a great antenna with no issues. I just acquired a 2nd MR AV-140 and the plan was to use parts and make into a 6 element. I have since decided to just keep the second one for a back-up for now and look into some other types of antennas. I came across the MACO 5-element Asteroid and noticed it has the same build as a MACO shooting star but with an extra element and multiple reflector wires ( like 3 or 4 ) on the reflector element.
I can't help but wonder since the shooting star is Maco's version of the Avanti MR, would the extra reflector wires benefit the MR with rejection and reflection, or is this more of a gimmick? Anyone in the know have any input or information would greatly be appreciated.
Thanks,
Gary
