I was wondering if the newer mosfet Connex 3300hp, General Lee, etc., are ok to volt/NPC like the older style?

A bipolar device (2SC1969, etc) are current devices and a MOSFET (IRF-520N, etc) are voltage devices. You can put more voltage on a bipolar device, so long as the current is limited. But on a MOSFET, you have to control the voltage it gets; usually only ~3.4v or so on the gate lead to turn the device on. So ~13.8v would be right out . . .
Robb is spot-on correct. You can "volt" a mosfet, but you HAVE to turn down the bias voltage at the gate, or you'll cook the mosfet. And having said that, since you'd have to adjust the voltage down, you're cancelling the "volting" benefit. So nothing gained.

You guys are mixing up to common mods. You can run a mosfet up to 20 volts if your reduce the gate voltage like Robb and ExitThirteen said.
I think AA1QD is talking about is giving the finals 12 volts in AM mode which is common when doing NPC, PPE swing mods. In this case it is also called "volting the finals" and it doesn't matter if you have bipolar or mosfet the mod will work with either.
