He said he was running a Cobra 148GTL, an audio EQ., and a 4CX1000 Tube....

I talked to him for 15 min or so around 1:30 pm in my mobile, and when I got off work at 5:00pm he was still talking

That MotorMouth is a cool guy Bob... He was playing with the EQ while talking to me... That 148 sounded great.... Smooth, loud, audio..... He did had it locked down pretty well with a 4CX1000..... He must have alot of elements ????

Bob, is it rare for you to get conditions to the US ???

yep motor is a good guy and smart too,
we get great dx from usa when conditions are right, unfortunately its been very poor for over 2 years,
last few days we have been able to hear the 11mtr "superbeacon" aka the superbowl,
i heared crack carter, 766, Mrmoco, vicegrip and others,

heres a gate charlie oscar made of crack a couple of days ago,
its poor quality with the tiny speaker in his ft817nd and taken on a cheap digicam, he was beaming north not at us but you get an idea of what we can hear even when conditions are very poor,
im in there on a stock ts680 wasting my time calling crack lol,
when conditions are good we can talk to the us on stock cb's no problem at all, getting your name called by one of the big stations is much much harder than talking stateside on any other cb frequency, most people here say its impossible, but that aint true we just need mother nature on our side,
