Motorized Antenna Mount.

I've seen the Diamond version (I believe it's the same) up close and personal on a couple of local ham's vehicles. It worked good and looked like it was pretty sturdy. I don't konw how big of an antenna you could put on it, but the specs probably would say. The two installs I saw had VHF/UHF antennas on them.

What antenna are you mounting?

Useless for a cb antenna

I have used said motorized mount and it will work,,,,,,,,,,,until you hit a few low tree branches,,,,,,,,no parts available to fix, must replace the entire unit

That is the answer I was looking for. Thanks HH!

I don't know if you noticed or not but did you see where it says recommended for antennas weighing less than 1lb. 3oz

I know I don't own any antennas that would be accepted to use that mount.

I would say anything with in the recommendation by Maldol a guy shouldn't need a motorized mount as that small of a antenna how often is your mobile coming within that close to something over head that would require you to lay it down, something like that probably could handle being bent over and bounce back up and work just fine. But it would be nice I know to have a motorized mount for larger antennas where there becomes more of a need to lay the antenna down without having to get out and manually take down your antenna, now that would be sweet.

Cotton Mouth.

Cotton Mouth,
Just in case you haven't found them yet, those motorized mounts for large antennas do exist. Don't ask me where I saw them, I can't remember, and didn't make note of that since I wasn't planning on ever using one. In fact I've seen two kinds, one electric, the other either hydraulic or pneumatic. They are not small or inexpensive by any means (remember, I'm cheap). My large antenna isn't hard to dismount anyway. Not as simple as pushing a button, but oh well.

The Lift & Lay mount is made as a support for the MT-1 antenna bracket, it's designed to give you the option of laying or raising your antenna with the push of a button. You can use this mount on the top of a motor home, camper or bed of a truck. It comes with it's actuator already installed on the mount, the switch to operate and 20 ft. of control cable. This mount is also 304 stainless steel.

Jesse James Dallas has the mount I want. He is checking with his source for updated phone # and e-mail so I can contact him.
I like that last mount, but a little large for a P10K and for sure too large for my wallet. :D

I appreciate all of the replies and info!

Thanks to all.

This mount will hold most light-weight antenna's like the Predator 10K, and the Wilson Trucker antenna's...I have seen one used with a 102" Whip once, but problem with the Whip antenna, is when the mount raise's the Whip, it will slap the Hell out of the top of the Cab!
