MRF455 daughterboard

Keep in mind the picture of the board shown here was designed to replace the MRF477 transistor in HR-2510 style radios. The MRF477 has a pinout of Base, Emitter, Collector rather than the standard Base, Collector, Emitter found with all other finals used in CB's. Using the layout on this board to replace transistors other than the MRF477 will not work.

I just noticed the transistor you show is an HG MRF454. I'm real curious as to how the inside of this transistor looks compared to their 2SC2879... If anyone blows one up, be sure and post the guts please.

Here are the insides of the hg mrf454 beside the hg 2sc2879, as of 7/1/21. Hope this helps.

I thought the pp100 was not made by hg huagao semiconductor? I thought the amp guy had dissected them to find they are different.

I'm only asking because I might be misinformed
Eldorado, I've included another picture to clear things up. The pp100 is there only as a reference/comparison. Lower in the picture frame there is also a (missing) Dei 2879 and a Toshiba 2879 for reference.

9c1driver, as far as where X-force got their Dei's transistors from, you would have to ask Carl or Mr. 181. An educated guess would be the exact same Chinese wafer factory that HG (Mr. North) buys his transistors from.
If anyone else, is interested in seeing any of the other types of transistors we use/have used, I would be glad to post the pictures of them for the community to see their differences.
