Don't think they are making fun of you because of the radios in your garage...or the cigarettes....
Most likely they are picking on you because your probably the only person they know who drinks Corona in can's!:bdh:
Where do you get Corona in cans anyway? Never seen it....
Then you would be well advised not to buy it, huh? Assuming of course, that it was for sale. You wouldn't want any of my radios either. But then they aren't for sale wither. Oh well...

Thirsty,
Easy to fix! Don't let'em bum cigarettes and make'em bring their own beer.

Nice set up, Hard to beat those old Fox Tango's for audio.
Nicotine does leave a residue on electronic boards and basically whatever it touches. If the electronics is exposed to the cigarette smoke in confined space with poor ventilation it is just a matter of time before a failure happens.
I get many vintage pieces across the bench here to get repaired, restored and some come in looking dull brown. Covered in tar and nicotine residue. Not a pretty sight.
I am not downing smokers as I am one myself. I smoke outside the shack, outside the house and outside the vehicle.
Same reason I shoot heroin.
Carry on.
well at least it doesnt smell of a teabagger !ruined for non smokers. the stench is unbearable.
Some people view a radio that has been exposed to smoke as ruined. (Not me)
While others view a nice classic ham rig like that modded and retuned for 11m as ruined too.
