My Galaxy 95T2 Test with various Mics

Owned a 95T2 a couple of years back. Tried several different mics on it. Wrote a review on this same radio; you can find it on the forum here:

Seems to me that the mic preamp in the radio is just too hot for anything than a stock mic. Or, the noise-cancelling mics like the Turner RoadKing 56, Skythumper, or the Astatic 636. I tried a Turner+3 and a D104 Silver Eagle; seems they had just too hot of an output and just sounded like splatter to the receiving stations.

Use the Mic Gain control on this radio judiciously; a little bit goes a long way.

Seems to me that the mic preamp in the radio is just too hot for anything than a stock mic. Or, the noise-cancelling mics like the Turner RoadKing 56, Skythumper, or the Astatic 636 will work well - too.

Edited for clarity.
