It always helps to have ALL of the information. You might see the excitement is short lived.
Vinteage yes....Jackson....no.

Another shipment coming in April.
Meanwhile, Ranger remains tight lipped.
If they didn't have their fingers in this mess, then they'd quickly disavow knowledge. Personally, I think it's pretty rude that vendors of this radio are failing to mention you have no warranty.
Pretty rank I do say.
An honest company would do that.
They can't warranty this radio. Some of the parts haven't been made in a decade or more.
Even so they should have disclosed that right from the start.
There is a limited supply of MRF477s left in this world. Those of us with the original radios that used that final know of this problem and care for the radios accordingly. This new JA is a $150 export with MO POWA in the eyes of more than a few final burning drivers I have spoken to.
Eleflow does make a replacement board that replaces the MRF477 with the more plentiful MRF455/SD1446.
It's strange these SS JA radios sound more like the black face Jackson, then the silver. Black face had 6 bands and silver had 5? Or is that reverse?
I wish they would've put these on the ranger website as "refurb old stock" with a price around $80-$100.
Robb, reguardless of what "they" do, The radio is in circulation. It is just a matter of what the individual will do with it. Being it is what it is, It should be treated as any other vintage radio should.
The gain on the eleflow appears to be higher than the origonal mrf-477.
I see your point. However it would take a unamious consenses in a class action lawsuit to see any kind of justification.
And you would need to know who is directly responsible and no one knows that.
Also, How would you be able to get a company to honor a warranty on an illegal product?
There are to many variables in the mix here. I Beleive it is one of those things that you just cut your losses and move on. And that is for those that do not like to waste their time.
