For 49 years now, ch 6 has never given me a thrill, oh well, as one would say - que sera sera .............
Some people spend thousands and thousands on cars that can only go 1/4 mile at a time. The prius driver wonders why. A guy builds a tower and gets up at 4am every day to chase DX. The cell phone owner wonders why. :coffee:

Lots of splatter box watt chasers there but there are a few guys who know how to put together nice sounding stations thats for sure. Its nice to hear those just like its nice to hear the guys with good sounding stations down on 3.885. No way I would ever dare to key my solid state kenwoo there :notworthy:

If i had a dollar for everyone who said they could have gotten their license I would be rich. Why 1974? The opportunity is always there. Infact its easier, however just one test won't get you on hf. Dxcc on 11m lol. That up there with homemade call signs.
Live life, stop making justifications. Dont talk about, be about it. Life is too short and uncertain.
Well 025, like I said, I could of gotten my license in '74, (why "74 you ask - cuz that's 2 yrs after I got my 1st radio) and several of the hams in the area were pushing me really hard to get the ticket, and like you were saying - it's lots easier to work other bands.

While this is true that it would make it easier, I wish not not to make it easier, what kind of challenge would it be if I could talk to other countries on all different bands - for me none!

On my 1st post I stated that "I wanted to work all the countries that I can on 11 meters, while using just a mobile radio and NO external amplifier". So that's my story and I am sticking with it!

I left 11 meters 30 years ago and watching these videos just reinforces why I left.

Congratulations. Why do you still read and reply to so many CB related posts? Oh, to remind us how reformed and pure you are now? If I were to guess, you are probably one of the people that I can't stand listening to/talking to on the HF bands and make me keep coming back to 11 meters.

OK That is enough of the CB/ham crap. EVERY DAMN TIME this starts it ends in a pissing contest. BOTH radio services has it's assholes! Some people do not like structure and make excuses for not getting a ticket. Others do not like the childish noise toys and garbage that goes on on 11m.To each his own..............and keep it there! Just to avoid any further pissing matches in this thread........ CLICK!
