Need advice on new radio

I'm in a situation where my current radio is in a state of disrepair as far as I can see I need to purchase a new radio my current radio is a ranger rci 2950 dx I bought this in 2010 from bobs cb in pa I would like to stick with this brand any members here using the newer 2950 As I need to make a purchase in the next week as my old radio is going back as its faulty

Have you called Bob and asked for a second opinion? He does great work and since you purchased it there .. he might be able to give it new life. Just a thoght.

I'm probably going to be buying a new 2950 dx from Bob as this radio isn't working and I need a radio in the truck gonna see what shipping costs to Western canada

It's fluckering gtl. The frequency its on 27.385o to pa without pressing the talk button on the mic its a very clean radio no scratches just one little mark on the top right hand corner

no complaints here. mine came from DTB. I haven't run a 2950 before so I can't really compare the two. it sounds good with the stock mic, even better with a road devil, best with an echomax.
mine has a knob in back for talkback that I never use, and the PA out is setup to run an analog meter. after the warranty is up I'll probably swap it to the key up plug so I can have my PA back.
I didn't order it this way, but the guy that ordered it never came to get it. my main concern was getting the trace mod to avoid the possible ssb issues.
