need help on getting/making a 433.9 MHZ antenna

Maybe a pair of small cantenna's with 1/4 wave antennas in them. If you could fix semi-rigid mount arm on the receiver unit and affix a small cantenna, that would solve your problem. Also give a highly directional work area for the signal. I mean if you have any concerns about a passing by ham keying up his rig and inadvertently triggering your garage door while your not home, but the chances of that are nil.

There's my 2 cents I guess.
