New Amateur Extra Question Pool Released
01/27/2020
The new Amateur Extra-class license examination question pool, effective from July 1, 2020, through June 30, 2024, has been released and is available at the National Conference of Volunteer Coordinators (NCVEC) website.

The 2020 – 2024 Extra-class pool incorporates significant changes compared to the current 2016 – 2020 question pool, which expires on June 30. The number of questions in the pool was reduced from 712 to 622. The result was 239 modified questions, 49 new questions, and 139 questions removed due to changes in what was felt to be an abundance of outdated questions, while areas of new technology and subjects were added.

:my usual will follow in a couple of days

Glad i havnt started to study for general yet

I had to memorize a 712 question pool and these damn kids only have to worry about 622. They better not have dropped the SSTV questions. I had to learn...memorize it and everyone else should too. Ham radio is going to hell in a handbasket. :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

I just remembered that I actually tested on the pre 2016 question pool. It's probably worse than I originally thought.

That's what all of the old hams who had to learn Morse code say about most of us today.

Is there any changes in the "Band Plan"? I always have one of the charts next to my radio when I am operating. I don't want to get into trouble by talking where forbidden.

Exactly how I feel. I just don't sass my wife and figure I'll be okay.
