New Ant Day

10-4. I was thinking about putting it up somewhere to be able to use during DX to have a different takeoff angle just to see how it works and compare contacts back-and-forth with the penetrator.
I think it may surprise you how well it compares if you can get it at even tip heights with both antennas.
I ran a I10K and a 1/4 wave on each end of our house at one time and found they each had advantages because of the terrain around us.
Let us know how it works for you.

Of course put it up. That's like asking the question do I need to buy another gun. You may end up using it for another purpose. I had put up one of the Workman no-ground plane antenna just to use it to monitor my broadcasts. Also I wanted to see If I could get one to work properly. It turns out I ended up hooking my base station scanner to the antenna as receive only. I works great for me as a scanner antenna.

But then I won’t have a BRAND NEW IN DEE BOX STARDUSTER! LoL
Really considering putting it up at my place in the woods in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Need a retro antenna for a retro house lol.

There you go now start collecting retro mobile antennas and then buy a car for the antenna and radio. Buy a Big Mama then go find a 1976 mustard yellow Chevy Suburban to mount the Big Mama.
