Thats a bad antenna,you need to have a new one shipped
What the problem is he sent you a 30 ohm antenna instead of a 50 ohm
Hummmmmm......cut off one foot and 8 inch's of the stinger......:headbang
Or send it back, and tell whoever you bought it from you need a 50 ohm antenna like suggested...
i never figured out where that extra coax came from in the back of the mobile
one day i had the coax laid in then next day i set swr then i looked in the back and there was a pile of coax

if i told you coily had 2 antennas mounted on a flat bar and made both antennas were made hot then tuned
would this make you want to buy this antenna
or did you just buy that freaking mess because it was different

Might work...just cut off 1 foot and 8 inch's of the stinger, so that it is at 13' where you want it...then check ohms before adding extra coax....or send it back to builder for a antenna thats 50 ohms....
1) Cut the coax to the needed length. Forgetaboutit...
2) Adjust antenna for best SWR
3) if it won't tune, look it over for either improper assembly or bad PL-239 connector/solder job/not well grounded.
4) If that doesn't work, send it back to the mfr before you stomp it to pieces...
