New Coily Enforcer 1 to 1 At 30 Ohms

I pre tune each and every antenna.
1.0.1-1.1.1
Does not get any better than that!
1.1.1 out the box and 50ohm!

Copy and paste from the Mr Coily website. Like someone else has posted, send it back or call them and find out what the deal is.

I don't fall in the crowd that thinks coax length is important. It should not be that critical.

take the magmount and move it toward the rear as far as possible
check swr
then move it forward about an inch and recheck swr
then slide it forward again recheck swr and ohm reading
once you find the sweetspot take a sharpie and mark it around the top of van so it wont move back on you without you knowing it moved
check for circles and magnet not lined up

The mag mount is so big it will not fit anywhere elese on the roof there are groves on the roof mag mount can not fit between them

loosen the bolts that hold the mags and plates an adjust them to where they will fit

can you stand on the hood of your van and take a few pictures

He can't move that thing, without taring the whole roof off!

Besides...Standing on the roof to take the picture would not give you a good idea of how the roof is made...It would be better if he stood in the middle of the hood, and take the picture...Oh wait...It's a Van right? Hoods going to be too slanted to stand on...

DJ, strap some of those magnets to the bottom of your shoes big guy so you can stand on the hood...Then take the picture....(y)

DJboutit,
I'm afraid at least some of what you 'know' about things isn't exactly right, such as that 'shorter antenna - longer coax' thingy.
Just from what you've posted, the SWR with that antenna, at a normal CB frequency, ought to be about 1.6:1. Not exactly the best, but far from the worst.
Those other 'numbers' I was wondering about can tell you a lot about what that particular antenna 'needs'.
