New Forum Sucks

Looks good here.
Easy for these eyes to read and loads fast with W7,
mainly use Firefox or Chrome. Both are fast,
Guess I like it.

Any plans of the new forum working with tapatalk? It seems a lot of forums are getting away from it.

EDIT:
Never mind. I found the tapatalk thread.

Nice parallel, except traffic here is up.
How do you like the new posting tools? Oh wait, that was you first post. Never mind.
Hmm...

I've been reading this forum for MONTHS. Just never had much to post about. And the new format still sucks.

I'm not seeing any issues with my personal laptop, tablet, or phone. No speed problems at all whether I'm on wifi or on the 3G/4G phone. One thing I do know... people don't like change.

73,
Brett

just posting my experience, like the captain...

I have used 2 different desk top machines, an older machine with windows xp, and a newer 64 bit windows 7 machine with no issues at all...

am typing now on a 4 year old Acer laptop tethered to a Samsung galaxy S4 phone via hot spot app and am having no problems at all, even though I only have two bars for signal strength as I live 5 miles from the nearest small town with cell tower, I am getting the 4g backbone on this phone and do all the time. However, my wife and son have I phone 5s' and theirs can vary from 4g to 3g for whatever reaons.

perhaps those variables can affect some of your down load speeds

as a side note, I do not use my cell phone itself to get on the www unless if absolutely necessary for a few quick searches, that because as I age I hate using reading glasses.

in the past, before Verizon expanded its 4g backbone from the 3 g, I would have slow downs on the old backbone, I attribute that to signal strength and any other conditions that would affect the radio wave from tower to phone.

best of luck keep trying, hope you figure it out

I use internet explorer on all machines noted above, and have not had any problems at all on any websites.

I'm getting more used to it now. Still can't get the custom color to stay the same after I go to a new topic on my iPhone. Goes back gray. No save function button for the custom color. (iPhone anyway) still learning the new system but not as bad as the initial shock would suggest. Find myself having to login again if it sets for 20 minutes or so idle. It's like anything else. Just gotta get used to it. I hated widescreen TV sets back in 1998 because of movies being designed for them rather than the square box tv's. Black bars top and bottom used to drive me nuts. now I wonder how in the world did we ever watch tv on those little box tv's for all those years.

After having looked at this site on a Windows, Mac, and Linux machine, it basically looks the same (easy on the eyes without those cyans, blues, and purples of the previous version). If this new version qualifies as someone else's version of "suck," then I say, "embrace the suck."

LOL.

The custom color thing is a work in progress. It's not perfect on mobile devices yet.

If or when the Tapatalk issues are fixed by Tapatalk. There are some major bugs and security issues with it when used with the new forum software.
