New Radio "Again"

Bought a radio I always wanted, Got the General Lee new in the Box shipped for 159.00. Has the Ranger SRA-198 mic. Was easy to convert, is on frequency, and after a little tweaking of the Low and High power Dead key and modulation it is talking nicely. Also working the small box with a low dead key 1 1/4 watt. Love the Mic when the house is noisy you can't hear my dog Bark.. I do have a question. Is the Talk back adjustable inside the radio.there is only an on/off switch on the front... and it is very low. Wanted to buy the radio new before the little emblem on the front offends somebody. lol

do they have another one. I have always wanted one also. a few years ago they had them with the full rebel flag. sure did brighten up the radio. I do not know of a factory control inside the radio to change the volume of the TB. normally those radio after being peaked the TB is so loud you have to put a resister on the main board to drop the volume.
let me know if the seller still has another at that price.

Looking at an old review on cbradiomagazine.com, it shows the echo controls to be on the front of the rig. I do remember one of the General models having it inside the rig... don't know if it was a differnt version of the Lee, or a whole different model.

I figured that there was no way to adjust talk-back volume without a resitor swap. I can listen on the monitor Prob more accurate.

Also found out talk back is louder with external speaker. Like the Mic but will give the D104m6b and other Mics a try too.

wow this guy does have a long shipping time for being in the US. over 1 month. does the item come with tracking number. saw one of his feed backs that it did not have tracking. the lee he is showing comes with a plain mic. not the sra198 now. at least that is what picture he has listed. he has the radio setting on it so not a real good view of it.

The Box mine came in has a sticker on the front that says Ranger Mic included.Might want to ask if he has one. Mine had free ship.

I was thinking about buying one until I read that it takes 4 to 6 weeks to get it.he went up to 169.99 now, for a few dollars more I can get one a lot faster. do not need one just thinking about getting one just for the idea of having it.

you could ask for free ship.But the wait time can't be avoided.I didn't need another radio but wanted an AM radio with echo and extra channels also came with the SRA-198 mic.available for 199.00 usually.
