New Ranger RCI-69VHP SSB coming soon

I honestly don’t remember if I moved or removed, I think just moved.

Nice to see the added the adjustments, someone clearly didn’t think that through in the beginning.

I run the 39VHP and get every bit of 80W out of it. I was in a rush for a radio before leaving Louisiana so I went with the 39, the only regrets are the chrome and lack of SSB.

I’ve been using the radio since Saturday. And let me tell you... I am NOT disappointed. Been making SSB contacts with it since I turned it on, from OH KY TN MS and GA. Even had a non SSB today from OH on channel 20. Best gift I’ve ever gotten!

73 de 277 “XXX” in TX
That's some good stuff right there. I remember the first time I was able to get back to the people that I heard, I made a day of it. I am usually on 20 if I am not in side band mode.

Ranger seem to be using these RT1 MOSFET transistors in all there radios these days compared to toshibas in the older 2970 DX series
Anyone here have experience with these rt1 transistors from ranger? My questions is bias voltages, what would we set the bias voltages at? Under 4 volts like the 520 I can guess. I ask because a coworker ordered a 39vhp and asked for me to convert it to 11 meters for him so I plan to check bias voltages because I've seen them way high or way low from the factory. Hopefully someone has had them on their bench.
