New SSB export radio coming soon - RCI X9

$300+ makes a it a tougher sell, at that point just get the Stryker 955.

You're right though - it might be pricey with the fans and everything going on.

My price guess is a guess about MSRP (in case anyone wondering).

I’d expect $290-$310 “actual” were my guess the number.

RANGER has had some truck driver attractive radios come and go, too quickly. I’d have like to have had a MIRAGE mx86HP, but missed out in 2013 (40W). $230 online.

GREAT looking with nice power.

Have since read happy and sad reviews

I'm guessing it won't drift the same as the older RCI 6900 series or Galaxy 88 etc. It should be more stable as the design looks more like the newer Lincoln/Stryker series boards even though this one is different. At $429 it better not drift!!!

Just crazy how expensive it is considering the Stryker 955 is $399 and a President Lincoln 2 Plus is $250.

I was interested in buying it today and only place I could find them was Wa***tt, they listed as having 3 in stock at $429, I believe. Not sure if I should list sellers. But I think I'll wait until I can see what Les can do to one.

Make a V3 Galaxy 99 retail for $325 (MSRP higher) with this horsepower on a newer board.

Damn I may have to pull the trigger!!!

For another $70 a guy could have a Galaxy 98VHP. Over 200W. (Clays Radio Shop; on sale).

Just won’t fit in console.

I’ll use the same wad of bills and out-perform (talk & hear) the Ranger or the Galaxy with a McKinley, KL203 and WEST MOUNTAIN DSP SPEAKER.

Ranger or Galaxy + DSP is past $600 and pushing $700.

Lincoln + DSP+ KL-203 = $500 and change.
100W. DIN-size.

Or a Galaxy 86V pushing 45W of its own + KL-203 & DSP = a little past $500. 29-size.

All that extra money ain’t buyin’ but 20W to 100W more than this. (50-150W gets the job done in mobile, IMO. 50 kicks the door open and more than 150 won’t matter).

But, some guy wants this Ranger, go get it.
Not knocking attractiveness. I get it.

I’d still like to have a 95T Galaxy,
so everyone get what you will.

I watched Les' video on this and have a couple of generic questions

- when the factory seal is broken, doesn't that essentially void the warranty ? I know that they (Ranger) expect this, but do they still support the products after it's done ?

- Les' videos all have this Squelchscan (tm) in the opening screen, and it is advertised on his site, but wtf is it ?
