Been looking online at a Van Ordt clone... Started wondering if they might be NOS Van Ordt...Anyone know anything about these Procomm Q45W 4.5' antennas?

Ok. I might have a couple original Van Ordts in storage... I think I'm gonna see if I still have them. The originals used thermaleze wire, I believe. I'm curious if they get any gain by using 4 isolated wires running in parallel?

I'm thinking there should be some capacitive coupling between the wires. It's an interesting antenna. Years ago I took a 5' Wilson silver load and added a thermaleze wire to it, just brazed it on at the ferrule and wrapped it alongside the Wilson wire and brazed again at the top. Slid some heat shrink tubing on and zapped it with a heat gun. I ran a pair of those and made all kinds of dx contacts. I attributed the M4V to the dx success, but the antennas played a role too...
