thanks for the comments guys. I was talking to Tom's wife today. She told me something that I remember Tom saying about 25 years ago when I was working on his radio. She said that Tom wanted me to have his gear when he died. I remember him laughing and saying that back 25 years ago. He said back then that he appreciated me doing work for him and that when he died his gear was mine.Who would have thought he was serious back then about it. Man it will be hard to go to his place and remove it. 
It is nothing special, just an Icom IC-740 and a Yaesu FT-101E and an MJF-929 Intellituner along with a couple small things.
And if that wasn't enough I was informed this morning that my cousin that now lives in Prince George British Columbia died last night after a protracted battle with cancer. They say everything comes in threes. Cathy's father is going downhill as well and she doesn't think he will see much beyond the first of September.........if that long. Man.....this seems just like back in 2005 when I lost two uncles, a cousin, and three family friends all within 8 months. Let's hope not.Onward and upward to better things that say. On that note I picked up something today that may come in handy soon. It is a bottle of my favourite beverage but since the city of Halifax Nova Scotia and the Appleton distillery were both founded in 1749 Appleton issued a special label for their VX rum. It is only on sale July 30 to August 3 in honour of Halifax's Natal Day this weekend.
