There has been nothing on AM for days now. Been checking antenna connections, but still nothing but static. Notices at the sub station yesterday work being done. Had some bad RF coming in before. Like a pile driver sound. That is gone now.

As of Friday 2-27 there has not been one single sunspot for the month of February.
So long as the sun remains quiet the skip will be rare and brief when it does occur.
We are nearly at the bottom of the 11-year cycle of solar activity. Simple explanation is more sunspots equals more skip.

Been about a week and a half with no skip. Had made contacts from South TX to NC and IL, & FL. Now just dead. I'll check out those links. Guess I need to mark my calendar for Sunspots.

Have a 50/50 shot for sunspot today. Just turned on Stryker in hopes of ionic transmutations. Seems the RF interference making the pile driving effect is back. We definitely have issues with power grid down here. Guess need to file more complaints with VEC about RF interference. Wondering if the power is fluctuating.
Nothing for a couple of weeks now up in the Panhandle of Texas either. Switching from the vertical to the dipole in hopes of hearing something, nothing even on the bowl....

I have that pile driver interference also. Which is a good way to describe it. I have it on the 11 meter base. I also have it on the mobil untill i get away from the house. Then its gone. Pull back into the driveway and there it is again. What is this?
