NTE U-105 rotor

so far I have only talked to one of the locals at 40 miles and he said my signal was up from a 7 to a solid 9 now on his radio,, skip it just starting to die out,, ill know more tonight maybe, there is a couple new guys that only have some dipoles strung up and I could just barely here them on the Omni, I think they are about 30ish miles away. too soon to say yet

I need to get the horizontal side hooked up also, I have it ran from the antenna to my junction box on the tower but not into the house yet

so anyways,, we were working fast this morning before the rain and t-storms came,, so im going to get back up there and lube the mast to bushing and make sure every thing is centered up,, its my first rotor install so things may have shifted a bit.

and ill start looking for a better rotor

Bushing? You mean like a thrust bearing between the rotator and the antenna? If that is the case then that will take the bending forces away from the rotator and that will make it a bit better. Just watch for the wind turning the antenna against the rotator. The rotator is supposed to turn the antenna not the other way around. ;)

the bushing in the top of the tower that the mast slides into, my mast (gas/water pipe) was a little large for the bushing so I had to file it out a little, when I put the tower up I never thought about having a beam or rotor so it was still a snug fit, id like to get some grease on the mast and bushing and just make sure that everything is still centered up
