Old droopy gp

Yes, sir. Ran for over 10 years. the Radio Shack's finest. My wife would ask, why is there a big jack in the yard now? 11.95 back when Mullets were all the rage. We lived in a rural area on a hilltop. Would still be using it, but lost it with the house to the ex-wife. 15 feet up in the air off EMT 1 1/4 cast Iron pipe. Stood up to some awesome winds. Her new boyfriend chain sawed the 4X4 that held it all up off. I listed at a Vintage NOS 1/4 ground plan bought off Superhawk66- vintage radio equipment restorer for 400.00 on my list of personal items she owed, from divorce.

My first CB antenna was an Antenna Specialists Super Magnum. it had 4 full length steel radials. It worked really well. Went to an Astro Plane later on which also worked very well and was easier to put up much higher.
Back then, the Super Mag and the HyGain CLR-2 with 3 full length radials were very common antennas for people to have mounted on a chimney.
