A single heatsink with a small fan will suffice . . .

Know where I can purchase one? Whatever is mounted on the left side of the of the radio near the back gets pretty warm as well. I'm thinking that with that much modulation,whatever the audio goes through gets hot too. My Realistic TRC-428 Nine Scan cb has a two rows of holes on the speaker case near the rear with some kind of black air permeable cloth glued over the holes on the inside of the case for ventilation. I'm also wondering if I do the same type of deal on the 959 case,that would aid in it's cooling. Of course,the heated air would have to exit out through the faceplate via the knob shaft holes. I haven't made a XCO for the crystals yet.

Never had a problem buying parts from Galaxy before.
You can always buy a non-OEM part if you must.
 
R&R has been great with me but I have heard a bunch of horror stories about them, even over a small thing like coax, so if your not going there in person I would not deal with them just my experience:crying:
