OMEGA FORCE!!!!!!!

Any suggestions on what might be wrong before I send it back? Something I can check for the low power?

Also, the clarifier doesn't seem to be working either.<img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/images/emoticons/frown.gif ALT=":(">

HMMMMMMMM - Let's see, maybe I'm off base here (I don't think so). I just got off the phone with Bob @ Bob's CB. He received the Omega Force I had to return because it wasn't performing worth a S*&$. He received it yesterday morning, but he won't be able to get around to looking at it until next week sometime? I would think that customers who have already given their money for a product would take precidence over all newcommers etc. Also, he won't return e-mails, I have e-mailed him several times with no response.

I think this will be the last time I purchase anything new from someone or a company I don't know personally, or maybe I'll just stick with the good folks on this forum who have shown to have a wee bit of honor, and local friends).

I understand he is probably a busy man, but when he wanted my money, he got the radio right out to me, and I really don't think anything was done to the radio in the first place since it was only doing 10-12watts on stx mode and 30watts on mtx mode. Something aint right here. Now that he's got my money, it appears that he'll get around to it when he has the time...

Very frustrating dealing with someone beyond your physical reach who doesn't seem to care much about communication

with customers, Hossless

Your best bet is to call Bob he is very busy sometimes takes awhile to reply to e-mails.

I know folks get bogged down and busy, and I can REALLY appreciate that. But good communication with customers is a huge part concerning good business and customer relations (in my opinion). I'll be patient and give the guy some slack.

I'll keep ya'll updated on the problem with the Omega.

This seems to be the norm instead of the exception this day and time. Busy or not, courtesy in responding is formost.Ignoring customers is crude.I was thinking about useing Bob on a recomendation, but will have to wait and see.

I would loved to have sent this radio to Frank at OneStop, but I just purchased the radio from Bob's (I don't think the radio was set up like I paid for in the first place, $30)????? So I was sort of stuck, and had to send the radio back to Bob's.

Another strange thing regarding phone calls to Bob's cb. I talked with a guy several times who when I asked if he was Bob, he replied yes. Then the other day when I called this guy that was supposed to be Bob answered (this was the guy I had talked to several time who said he was Bob), Now, when he answered and I said "hello Bob", he said - hold on, and another guy who was supposed to be Bob answered??

What the F&%$?????!!!!!!! Very strange indeed. (No, I'm not taking mind altering drugs)<img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/images/emoticons/laugh.gif ALT=":lol">

I'll keep ya'll posted. I just hope I don't get the run around on Monday afternoon.

Hello, Bob @ Bob's cb gave me the option of crediting my credit card or sending me a new Omega. I wish I would have taken him up on the offer for my money back. I still am not seeing the numbers as advertised, but better than the first radio. The reports from the locals 25 miles away give or take, say the radio isn't NEAR as loud or as clear as my Grant xl. I am also having alot of problems with the receive in the big truck and the pickup - a loud whine/whistle that fluctuates with the rpms (almost unbearable), maybe a bad ground in raido?? Also, this radio's receive is the noisiest of any radio I have owned, picks up EVERYTHING in the pickup and big truck, can barely hear the weaker signals due to the extremely noisy rx. I am very dissapointed in the Omega. Now, do I send it back AGAIN to have the receive looked at, or do I go spend more money with someone local? This radio would make a nice base radio, but a very noisy mobile with not much tx punch (only numbers on the meter which aren't as advertised).
