options for 10m? Tarheel 200a, cap hat, 1ft mast, 70" whip

lets add it up


top whip >>> 70"

cap hat >>> claims it added about 40" effective length

cap hat extension >>> 12"

main mast >>> 48"

That makes it around 170" effective length while fully collapsed plus another 6" or so in connectors... that being said it's not quite right, it seems to run around 15m while fully collapsed
 
If that's with the thing all the way collapsed, then I'd guess you'd need to shorten the whip just a 'touch'. No idea how much, but it won't be very much.

That's up to you of course. The question is, how big'a 'hit' would 80 meters really take? Do you really use the bottom end all that much?
