Ok I just went to my notes from years ago...
Left rear of the amp, it’s a 33uf cap. You can change it to a 10uf to keep the delay and stop it from interrupting the receive as bad.
You can’t clip it, to lift it you have to remove the board from the heat sink. Clip the top off the cap and leave the leads sticking up and add a 1uf 50v in its place or a switch too if you want one.
If it chatters on AM, you need a smaller cap. This was done on a Galaxy 225 which I’m thinking is the same as the Palomar 225. I believe this is what he has and this is what I’ve always done to them.
