The hi med low power selector switch works.
The preamp works.
All lights that show operating positions (amp, power supply, preamp) work.
The fan was replaced with the exact one that originally came in the amp (Sunon) and is extremely quiet. The fan was purchased on eBay and was used but cleaned and lubed buy the seller and works flawlessly.
The built in power supply works and shows 35 amps.
It operates on SSB and AM.
It's a base station amp and doesn't need a separate power supply (plug and play).
It's cosmetically clan (under statement) and one would be hard pressed to find any scratches or scuffs on the face and top but assume there are some. The back of the amp is clean but does show some small scuffs and scratches (miniscule).
With 1 1/2 watts it dead keys 90 and swings to 400+.
On SSB with 12 watts shows 450+. The readings listed were taken with a workman meter. I also took readings with an MFJ 828 which showed higher output but decided to list the lower readings as it's probably what one would expect out of four 1446's/455.
Theses amp came with either four 1446's or 455's. The earlier ones with 455's and later with 1446's. The amps cover was removed about 6 months ago to replace the fan but I didn't look to see which transistors were in it. I believe them to be the 1446's as I believe the amp to be a later model. The reset button must be depressed after the amps turned on. All these amps operate the same way. Do your research.
$350 includes shipping and insurance.
I gave the face a quick cleaning and the dust on the heat sinks will not be there if it gets sold. I'll clean it up nicely.
PayPal but other payment method might be doable.
I've never sold anything online ever but don't assume I'm a sucker.
If you're interested you get it when I have the money.
