A few of us have been working to bring LSB 16 back into the mainstream - mostly as part of an effort to relieve the congestion on LSB 38. Here's what I suggest for our next coordinated effort.

Saturday, June 22nd:
9:00A.M. eastern/8:00A.M. central/6:00A.M. pacific;
12:00 noon eastern/11:00A.M. central/9:00A.M. pacific;
3:00P.M. eastern/2:00P.M. central/noon pacific;
6:00P.M. eastern/5:00P.M. central/3:00P.M. pacific.

Sunday, June 23rd:
9:00A.M. eastern/8:00A.M. central/6:00A.M. pacific;
12:00 noon eastern/11:00A.M. central/9:00A.M. pacific;
3:00P.M. eastern/2:00P.M. central/noon pacific;
6:00P.M. eastern/5:00P.M. central/3:00P.M. pacific.

Of course, these are just suggestions. Anyone can try at other times, too. However, my thinking is that getting folks out there at coordinated times will help the chances of making contacts.

Please feel free to chime in with other ideas. I don't want to be a hog about this - just a strong proponent. I'm glad to keep the ball rolling and have the group of us tweak as good suggestions come forward.

I am checking in on 16 whenever I can, top of the hour, have not had skip here for a few days. Liking this idea a lot. I find 38 a bit crowded on my stock 12 watts, Will be calling as often as conditions allow. "north 7 Ontario, shouting out for the the world wide dx crew"

I didn't get to play yesterday but have been giving 16lsb a shot off and on for the last week or so since it's been brought up, haven't gotten much of anything. I was out at 09 this morning. Has anyone had any luck?

Well I'm here in Indiana if anyone wants to give a shot I hear some dx from the south and the north coming at me today

I had zero luck yesterday.

Today, with my son's help, I decided to take down my Starduster style antenna for maintenance and put up my Workman Bandit, which is an A-99 copy. The Starduster type is actually a Workman hub which uses a 102" whip for a vertical radiator and three 102" inch whips for the ground plane. I always had high hopes for the Starduster style when it came to skip, but the results were never there. The A99 types have performed much better for me.

After the switch, I had no better luck. There was some skip activity on LSB 38, but not much. There was nothing on LSB 16.

Once again, Mother Nature was not on our side.

Rick , So as said Gp kit does nothing ? My A-99 has No ears ! I'm mobile picking up everyone , come home go on my base & receive ? Well it sucks ! Iv'e talked a lot of Dx last few days on my base hear them good or not , they here me ! A forum member fixed my Old Gray 110/120v amp & if I posted the watts coming out of it .... Well most would call BS ! All I can say is watch the vid that Gatekeeper ( he didn't fix mine ) did on a Gray amp & look @ the watts he got out of those " Sorry " 2 pills .:whistle: Thanks to a WWDX member my amp is Sweet ! 73 & God Bless , Leo

No better luck today.

I took my Shakespeare 176-1 marine "Big Stick" and set it up on the boat. My anchorage was 25 miles west of Key West. It doesn't get much more remote.

I heard some stations in Texas and one in South Carolina on LSB 38, but they definitely could not hear me. My efforts on LSB 16 also came up empty. Then the skip just died out completely around 5:45P.M. eastern.

No sunspot activity. No weather systems. No skip.
