Pearce Simpson Mic Wiring Help
I have a Simba Pearce Simpson Radio and a Pearce simpson mic. The mic does not have the 3 pin plug like the radio has. How do I wire this 3 pin plug that I bought to go on the mic correctly to the radio. Any help would be great. Thanks Ron

untill i find it exactly the eaiest way is to look at the wires cong into the radio. the ground will go directly to ground, that or use a multimeter to check for resistance. take you negitive lead and ground it to the chassis or internal ground where the power comes in to the board. using the ohm scale it will read 0 when you touch the red lead to the ground pin. once you find that pin you can take a wire and touch that ground pin to one of the other pins, when the radio transmits from on of the other pins being grounded thats your transmit pin. if it buzzes or makes sound when grounded thats usually the audio wire.

Here's the hookup for the stock base mike. If it's a handmike, the colors should be pin 1- violet, pin 2- shield, pin 3- red. 73s

1-MOD/ AUDIO
2-SHIELD
3-TX

AT LEAST THAT'S WHAT THE SCHEMATIC I FOUND LOOKS LIKE

Using a Midland mic The wiring was PIN 1 RED on mic, PIN 2 GROUND on mic, PIN 3
WHITE on mic and it worked. Do you think the same would be true using the Pearce Simpson mic desk or powered mic? Thanks Ron

SHIELD I have but is there a color for TX OR Audio?

i don't know what the stick midland color codes are. i think white is audio. op
en the mic and see what wire runs to the ptt switch, that's the transmit. the wire to goes up to the mic cartage is the audio

Ron did you figure anything out? I just picked up a 3 pin Bengal base SSB. So far I found one of the pins when grounded, causes the internal relay to close, sending the radio into TX mode.

I did find the correct wiring but can't find my notes. Thanks Ron
If you need it I'll take a plug apart. Ron
