Plug n play channel kit

It would compete with one of the Lescomm boards since he is the only one that makes one that is as near plug and play as you describe.

And at $40 + shipping it would be a winner being less than half the price for the same functionality.

I say go for it. Innovation is a great thing.

It's just as easy for me to also make or design it so that I can use the board either way. Either with the switches on the front of the radio in the case of the dx-959, or install the rotary switch in the phono Jack in the front of a 2547. A dual-purpose board. But two separate kits.
Now I am sitting here as we speak redesigning this as a dual-purpose board.

Well, Galaxy kinda already provides the "switch kit" - at least their 145105 PLL's - the RCI-8719's can do this too - just not sure of the VCO bandwidth it needs.

But I'm presuming - "drop in" on a 979?

When i do a 2547 channel mod (been over a year since i did one) i use the channel 9/19 switch and just eliminate the higher band of channels.

I found most people were happy with the 26.695 to 27.645 range and this allowed me to use that switch.

any chance your board can do something like this?

With the switch to the right it will cover from 41 to 60 +. To the left of center gives you channels below 1. Plus it has a 10 KC switch.
