Predator 10k competition any good?

I didn’t run the 10k competition but did run the Predator 10k 27 inch shaft and loved it. It was mounted in the bed of my f150 using a Breedlove bracket. I think the 102 inch whip slightly edged it out.
I used the Predator 10K and the 102" whip and spring on my F350 with the Breedlove Stake Pocket Mount w/Quick Disconnect. The performance and SWR of both antennas were very close to each other. I liked the Predator because it is rigid when driving at highway speed compared to the 102" whip.
The primary reason I am using the 102" whip is because when not in use I store the whip in the bed of the truck. Storing the Predator 10K in the bed was not a good idea because I was concerned the coils would get deformed by rolling around in the bed. Placing the Predator in a piece of PVC would have helped but I opted-out of doing that. I have two single and one double coil Predator 10K with five stingers, three, 27" shafts, one 9" shaft, looking for a good home for a fair price.

Keep saving...for something else tho!:D

I have a Lightning Golden Rod...took a while to figure out the tuning on it...It did tune good, but you really have to watch where you drive with one...and keep a eye on your meter to see if the tuning changes much after driving around...Mine is hanging in the shed right next to my collection of other POS antennas gathering dust
Ok, well that soured me out of a buy and try! Interesting design, but if junk, it's junk.
