Honestly, around here everyone uses HF gear on SSB and if you try to talk to these guys on an ordinary CB or export rig they will nick pick..

Hi.Im using Sears RoadTalker 40 ssb with a HyGain penatrator 500 talks great.

I voted Other. My choice for SSB would be the Cobra 146GTL/President P300/Realistic TRC-451. It uses the D2824 PLL chassis. Rock solid stability, strong output, and these days, not too terrible to modify for channels.
