Question about a couple different amplifiers..

If you want to "key"at 2-4 "Bird" watts and output 2-300, why not just operate SSB.

Listen to all the mud-ducks on channel 6, so over modulated you can't even understand them.

LOL Yup SSB indeed instead of that stupid "double side band reduced carrier" emission that they call AM. That is in reality what it is DSBRC not AM when you start running carrier to peak ratios like that.

Except for 766. You can understand his piece of s... fine equipment on all 40 channels.
 
What do you all recommend amp wise used with a low drive radio ?..
Like to maybe have a small driver amp, 2290's or 2879's, this would be going into a beam ......or would you just go to a tube amp..
 
TNT 350hd with Toshiba 2879's added. Will work well for single or dual final radio as far as transistor amps go. JMO.
