hi david,
on your "tips and tricks" page, i noticed the suggestion of adding a 1000uF cap near TR41 in the MB8719 dual conversion chassis.
(as per the JD mod)
the question i have for you is, where does the negative lead of the 1000uF cap go?
to the positive of C174?
or to the negative of C174?
in JD's version, it says this:
"put the negative leg of a 1,000uF cap into the negative hole left by C174, and the positive lead to the base of TR41 (closest to the rear of the radio)"
on your site it says this:
"RemoveC174, and run a 1000uf cap from positive side of C174's position to the base of TR41, with the positive side of the 1000uf cap going to the base of TR41. Reset the AMC level for 100% modulation."
so which is it?
is this just a typo on your site?
i have mine in the negative hole, and it works great; i just want to know if this was a typo or is different intentionally.
thanks for any help,
loosecannon
